Rudd to boost pensions to make up superannuation shortfall

The Australian: Kevin Rudd will boost pensions to help Australians who missed out on the superannuation revolution because lifting compulsory contributions would do little to help low- to middle-income earners.

Superannuation Minister Nick Sherry has warned increasing compulsory super payments to 15 per cent will not help the low- to middle-income earners who currently face “a real battle in retirement”.
