Government backs Keelty

The Age: The Federal Government has declared its full support for Australian Federal Police (AFP) Commissioner Mick Keelty, who is facing mounting pressure over the Mohamed Haneef case.

Mr Keelty has been criticised over the AFP’s handling of the investigation into Dr Haneef, the Indian-born hospital registrar initially suspected but later cleared of involvement in an Islamist attack in the United Kingdom.
