Stop laughing, Labor, you’re about to be massacred

The Sydney Morning Herald: Labor’s battering at the weekend local government elections is expected be repeated next month when voters go the polls in four byelections, with senior ALP strategists warning that even its safest seats are under threat.

With the stench of the Wollongong corruption scandal, developer donations and the State Government’s radical planning reforms believed to be the main reasons for the ALP’s fall from favour, the Premier, Nathan Rees, said voters had sent a clear message to his Government.
