Voters turn against Labor states, says Newspoll

The Australian: Labor’s vote has slumped in its bastions of Queensland and South Australia, further eroding the party’s once-iron grip on power in the states and shifting momentum decisively to the Coalition.

The latest Newspoll, conducted exclusively for The Australian, reveals that Premier Anna Bligh has blown the strong position she inherited in Queensland 12 months ago and would struggle to be re-elected without support from the Greens.
