An ever-changing world demands new leadership

Few people around the world will look back on George Bush’s America as a humble nation. When he uttered these words in 2000, during a televised debate with Democrat rival Al Gore, Mr Bush appeared to grasp an axiom important when dealing with other countries: no one much likes a bully.
