Character vs celebrity

There is a month and a half to go before polling day. As they used to say about World Championship Wrestling, anything can happen and probably will.
Nonetheless, I make bold this prediction. It will be a very close election. The overwhelming majority of states will vote the same way (that is, Republican or Democrat) as they voted in 2004 and 2000. And the candidate who wins the popular vote will win the presidency.
