Pakistan coalition to impeach Musharraf
Aug 8th, 2008 | By David Harper | Category: WorldThe Sydney Morning Herald: Pakistan’s ruling coalition has said that it would impeach President Pervez Musharraf, posing the biggest threat to the key US ally in the “war on terror” since he seized power in a 1999 coup.
The landmark agreement came after three days of marathon talks between coalition leaders Asif Ali Zardari, the widower of slain former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, and Nawaz Sharif, another ex-premier.
