Sarkle Original: We take a look at some of the new and exciting programming coming to Foxtel in September.

Here are our picks of the month for September.

  • Bond, Classic Bond – Fox Classics
    Fox Classics is showing the first 16 James Bond films on Sunday nights! See the evolution of the Bond films from the original Dr No with Sean Connery right through to Live And Let Die with Timothy Dalton. Actually, this starts on August 31 – but who’s counting?

  • Stargate: Atlantis Season 3 – SCI FI
    This is another almost-September premiere, as Season 3 of Stargate Atlantis actually started on Friday 29 August. That said, Season 3 ramps up the action as the Atlantis team deals with not only the Wraith, but a powerful new foe, the Asurans.

  • South Park: The ‘Imaginationland’ Trilogy – The Comedy Channel
    Part of Comedy’s syndicated run of
    South Park Season 11, the Imaginationland trilogy is one of the most unusual, funny and original set of episodes yet! The plot: Stan, Kyle and Butters find themselves in Imaginationland, the home of every fantastical imaginary creature, just as terrorists launch an attack… The first episode premieres Wednesday 3 September at 8:30pm.

  • The Office (US) – TV1
    At long last, the US version of The Office is going into syndication on TV1. Starring Steve Carell as the boss from hell, The Office is a mockumentary that follow the daily lives of the employees of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. TV1 will be airing four episodes back to back every Thursday night from September 4.

  • Becoming Jane – Movie One
    Becoming Jane is a semi-biographical look at the early life of Jane Austen (Anne Hathaway), the author of classic Nineteenth Century novels such as ‘Pride and Prejudice’ and ‘Sense and Sensibility’. The film premieres on Movie One at 8:30pm on Sunday 14 September.

  • The Sopranos – W Channel
    David Chase’s deservedly famous, award-winning mobster drama begins on W on Monday 22 September at 10:10pm. W will be running every episode of this must-see series, which stars James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano, the highly complex Mafiosi who must juggle his family responsibilities with his often-violent life of crime.

  • The Simpsons Movie – Showtime
    Get ready for the biggest Simpsons experience ever!
    After Homer accidentally pollutes the town’s water supply, Springfield is encased in a gigantic dome by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Simpsons family are declared fugitives. The Simpsons Movie is coming to Showtime on Sunday 28 September at 8:30pm.
