Braga’s ‘Flash Forward’ Headed To ABC

Brannon Braga is headed back to sci-fi television. The co-creator of Enterprise, who has more Trek writing credits than anyone, has just sold a sci-fi pilot script to ABC. Co-written with David Goyer (Batman Begins), ‘Flash Forward’ sparked a Hollywood bidding war and is being considered a companion show to JJ Abrams ‘Lost’.



Stars scrubbed from series finale

For the show’s final send-off, ‘Scrubs’ creator Bill Lawrence got all of the major guest stars from the last eight years to return for one epic scene farewelling the series. Unfortunately, two actors currently working on NBC shows were prevented from taking part - ‘Chuck’s Sarah Lancaster and Masi Oka from ‘Heroes’.



US ABC network orders five new series

Among the pickups were two comedy-driven, New York-based police procedurals: the Nathan Fillion starrer “Castle” and ensembler “The Unusuals.” On the comedy side, the Victor Fresco-penned laffer “Better Off Ted” scored an order, as did the Alyssa Milano sitcom “Single With Parents.”



MP’s assassination: Ngo faces judge

A review of the Newman case was ordered by Chief Justice James Spigelman after Phuong Ngo’s supporters raised three grounds of concern regarding his conviction: concerns about the evidence about mobile phone coverage; doubts about the independence of two witnesses; and the alleged failure to provide certain evidence to Ngo’s defence.
