Aspire One: Installing and Running Windows XP

A few weeks ago, I reviewed the Acer Aspire One notebook, the variant which came with an Acer-modified version of Linpus Linux. A few days ago, however, I realised Linux wouldn’t be ideal for me on my netbook. Due to pragmatic reasons, I’m now running Windows XP.



Telstra backs down on pricing

While Telstra remains the most expensive Australian mobile carrier, the mobile broadband price cut is the most significant change since it activated the Next G network almost 22 months ago. Telstra has previously defended its lofty costs on the basis of a “premium” product, because Next G was faster and offered bigger coverage.
