A Florida woman trying to flee Baker County Sheriff’s deputies accidentally ran over herself Sunday afternoon. Police say she first tried to hit a deputy and then lost control and hit a lawn mower.

The police have embarrassingly lost control of the National High-Tech Crime Unit (NHTCU) website. It appears the police have let the domain registration lapse, and it has now been picked up by an opportunistic German owner, Uwe Matt.



Victorian Government bungle jeopardises corruption cases

A spokeswoman for Police Minister Bob Cameron yesterday defended the system introduced by the Government to fight police corruption, but refused to say whether the laws would need to be amended. “Any legal technicalities which may arise … will be addressed appropriately,” she told reporters.

When the Wellston Police Department’s two top cops got physical with each other on Friday, the mayor had to intervene to break up the fight. Police from neighbouring Pine Lawn have now been called in to investigate, and the assistant police chief has been suspended.
